Bing Needle Designations???

This is an overall question which has been lurking for a while so here goes; does any one have the specs for Bing needles and the taper? The early needles had lines around the circumference near the position clip. I have seen ones with one line and up to four lines in two groups of two etc...later needles have a numbering system which also needs to be explored...
