Have you ever read something and it went in one ear and out the other or should I say eye in this case..... Whatever... After going to M/O and meeting with all of the FINE FOLKS there I get home with a new zest for anything I can read on Pentons ! I bought John's book and finished it off in record time. I then have gone on to all the old KEEPING TRACK and I ran across something John said about the Bing carb and wanted to know if our new gasses and oils have changed this in anyway. He states in June-July 1974 that we need to use #40-404 atomizer and that this will help the bottom end from feeling rich.I have a 80's cylinder with reed valve with Boyesen dual stage reeds. What do ya'll think?   Thanks Guys

I think that is referred to as a cut away atomizer, they work great and I'll stick one in the mail to you this next week.  Just in case, email your address to me if I can't find it in the shop file.

there is a file in the Yahoo Penton restoration and tech group that details the 04-404? atomizer and the technical report issued back then. I think it applied to the early 70s bikes. Check it out. Dan Pagel
