Hello devoted Penton Owners Group members, in an effort to accomodate different needs and the combinations of certain years side panels, I have made some simple changes. Single panels are available and I am trying to hold the costs down by offering combos at 75.00 p/set...

To quote one of our members "Lord, don't let me be the man that my Dog thinks I am"
Thanks for the reply re: paint codes, I think the Red will match...

Tom,  I never worry about color codes.  I have had just about every Penton/KTM part NOS side by side and they were different shades from the factory.  Besides, I am color blind so I have a paint mixing guy check them and for final Quality Control, my wife checks them too;)

PS:  Thanks for the great work on the glas products!  I really appreciate it a lot:D

Kip,
Great comment on the different shades of color from the factory.  I had all NOS parts for a 100 and when I finished it I was so proud of it until I took it outside in the sun light.  I couldn't believe what I was looking at.  The person I did it for wasn't the least bit upset...nice guy.  Great thing is it is on display inside with only artificial light so no problem[B)][8].

Ron  The same goes with the frames, I have pulled them from the original paper mummy wrap and there were runs everywhere and no two frames were the same silver.  Kinda makes things easier for my "child labor" painting process;)

Kip,  I think the child labor law enforcers would be hard pressed to find a kid who didn't like working on bikes especially if you let them ride one every once in a while.[:p]

Kip - I get around the child labor laws here in Oregon by not paying the kids anything, call it "vocational training". Less payroll tax that way too.

Does anyone else like the PJ-1 "Silver Barrel" 500 degree rattle can paint for kinda close mid-70s frame color match? Last project, I tried the "KTM Silver-gray" from PJ-1 and it was so flat looking I couldn't stand it. So while it was still fresh, I grabbed the only other silver I had around at the time--the Silver Barrel color--and re-sprayed it all, then top coated with their clear epoxy. I thought it looked sparkly good and really close to original when all was done. Looks really good on a Husky restoration I did too.

I'm thinking maybe I just buy this silver hi-temp paint by the case and use it for everything from engines to frames. May stick with black for the pipes though. [^]
