A friend of mine's son has a 91 KTM 250 he said it was a DXE but that does not sound right to me. He is wanting to know how much oil is used in the Transmission. The manual says to use a 5-40 motor oil but that does not sound right either. Does it have a seperate chamber for the wet clutch? Like the bikes of old it has a allen screw on the side that is suppose to be used to check fluid level. ON my bikes I do not use that but rather add the correct amount of oil. Which is more than it would be if I used the inspection hole. He can not find the correct amount and is unsure about using motor oil for the transmission, any of you guys have any ideas? I know very little about a bike made after 1978 so I am not much help.
