New Decals for Us....

You can paint those plastic tanks white, but as soon as you put gas in them they will turn color.  B. Hahn went through this a year or so ago and the tank looked beautiful and if I recall correctly, shortly after adding gas, discoloration and flaking started.

Maico's suffered similiar problems.

Ya'll let me know what the long-term report is on using the painting method.  If it works long term I'll be your biggest cheerleader and will do this to my white KTM tanks too.

Although I couldn't find it here I could swear this same article USED to have a paragraph where they mentioned that keeping the gas tank white involved draining the gas, and flushing the tank with water after each ride.  To me that's not really feasible, or realistic.
