I have decided to replace the rubber swingarm bushes with some bronze or brass bushes. Does anybody have a diagram of how to set the bushes up so that the swingarm can be securely located in lateral direction? Thanks in advance. Bill

Bill,

How are thinks down under?

Not sure I understand your guestion. The only problem you should have with changing the swingarm bushings is getting the old ones out and the new ones in. After that it's as simple as putting the swingarm bolt through the swingarm.

There are some good post if you look in the search feature on how to remove and replace the bushings.

Good luck,

Thanks for your reply Chuck. Once I take out the rubber bushes and replace them with a brass bush system that system needs to be able to securely locate the swingarm. I have come up with a system with the guy that is making the bushes but I just wanted to see if anybody else had done the same. Down under is pretty good. Its now autumn (fall)and we are hopefully coming out of a severe drought. All the land around our district needs many inches of soaking rain to get the reservoirs full and some lasting moisture in the ground. We have just begun to start racing for this year which I am looking forward to. Having fun racing my 125 along with a 74 250, 76 250 & 400 and an 81 250. When all that covered there is another 400 to create. Cheers Bill

I haven't heard of anyone here using brass bushings. I don't know if there would be any issues to be concerned with. I would try and repost your question and put "Brash bushings" in the subject field. I think that would get some attention and people with more expertise than I have could provide comments.

Sounds like you're ready to go racing. The season is kicking off hear as well. I went to the national in Florida last month as part of bike week. Probably the second biggest race of the year behind Mid-Ohio. It rained Saturday for the Vinatage race which is OK by me. I like the mud. Sunday was sunny for the Post Vintage.
