I put them in a '86 XR Honda and they did wonders for the fork action.

Anybody tried them in a Penton?

I've heard from several people who have tried them in vintage 7" travel forks and all have said they didnt make a huge difference. Some of them had also put them in post vintage forks and they said they worked great so I guess you need longer travel for them to work. No personal experience with them though.

This company/shop is only 10 miles from me. I've been meaning to drop off some 35mm Ceriani forks, so he can evaluate how they'll accept the cartridges, or what kind of modifications/tuning he has to offer.

..........I know this sounds insignificant but plugging the topend of 7" travel rods and putting the oil out the sides works wonders.........

Merlin,  Could you elaborate on the mods?  size and location of the holes?  And, why this works.  Thanks,

.........sorry for the delayed reply, plugging the top side of any old type non cartridge style damper rod and putting 4 3/16ths holes crossway just below the plug keeps the oil in the damper and stops it from being sprayed in to the top of the leg and sticking to the spring causing the damper to be starved for oil...........
