Plan on riding Saturday's Vintage Enduro at the Ohio Valley BSA Owner's Club in Toronto,Ohio.  Looks like the weather will be improving, can't get any worse here in the east.

Jay,

I am hoping to ride the reliability run on Sat. if I don't have to work, the rain has us behind schedule on a project.  I have ridden a number of the Ohio Valley's events and have always enjoyed the rides, you never know what year or make of machines you will see out on the run. If I don't see you have fun and good luck.

Jay,

Hope I'm not responding too late.  There should be a few of us there.  Look for Pentons.  However, I'll be riding my '75 Can-Am 175 TNT.  Look me up and introduce yourself!  It'll be a fun run.

Ted,
Were you able to get a new lower half for the kickstarter on your TNT after VMD ?? If you want to make a copy of the parts book for the TNT shoot me an email with your address and I'll send it to you. Good luck to all in the reliability run !!

Thank you so much, Dave.  As always, it was great spending time with you, your brother, and your dad - at Vintage Days.  Thanks also very much for all the advice and support.  The parts info would be great.  I'll e-mail you the info.  Yes, got a lower kicker section from my friend and Can-Am enthusiast, Rick Biddle.  Rick also swapped the SuperTrapp silencer that came on my bike for a stocker, and brought his ATK 605 out and rode the RR with us.  All worked out great.  The C-A ran like a champ.  Of course, it couldn't keep up with the Pentons of Paul & Ollie & Al, but we came home in one piece, nonetheless.

Ted, you rode a Canned Ham? How could you? We're gonna take away your secret decoder ring.[8D]

Haha - that's right, Lew.  And Paul, Ollie, Al, & Paul Busic were all teasing the heck out of me.  They wouldn't give me any kind of break on the trail, and they run down the road sections so fast that it plumb wore down my C-A's front brake.  Then, when I stopped to try and adjust it, they was all over me - telling me that "Canned-Hams" don't need brakes to slow down - they just do that naturally.  Boy, what nice guys!  Good thing I didn't break down, or they probably would've left me out there.  I did have one little tip-over, when I found a log hidden in the grass.  As I was trying to right the bike, all I heard was Paul Busic zipping past me, and giving off a hearty laugh.  Glad I was able to provide those fellows with some entertainment.  Wish you could have been there.  Join us next year?
