Has anyone ever heard of an after market frame for Penton motorcycles called:  Boyd and Stallings?

Any thing was possible in the CA state.   But I never heard of
that frame being used for a Penton.    The pictures are not of a Penton.

.........never implied it was a Penton, I suppose in today's world I should explain it was an outfit that made special frames for just about any engine. About the only thing that was different from engine to engine was whether it had a single or double down tube............most popular to power these were CZ, Suzuki, Yamaha and the Kawsaki Bighorn in the picture. Bikes (6) were built for Montesa prior to the VR being designed, a couple of Bultaco and a few Maico engined were also built..........Penton beyond the Sachs had not happened yet and in an internal power play Larry Stellings bought out Walter Boyd, then sold the name, tooling, fixtures and patterns to an outfit in Texas I think may have been U.S.Sports or American Motocross Specialties(AMS).......... ...........

Merlin:  Looks like the frame has an adjustable steering head geometry setup.  Is that correct?  Thanks, Ted

.........very astute Ted! Yes the cast steering head is adjustable,beside being a work of art the bike bristles with little things that make it so special, the bike pictured was a gift to me from Walter Boyd, I raced it at Glen Helen on the big track the way you see it a couple of days after he gave it to me and I must confess, if I had one of these when I was a kid I would have won a bunch more races!!...............an unassuming person Walter is a very special guy, since the mid 60's  living in Colton California originally from Conneticut he has been involved in many things from the Doug Shearson Shadow F1 car to his large "Macro Air" fans, always an inovator he is a casting wizard and master of mechanical thought, I am honored and humbled to call him "friend"............http://www.macro-air.com/contentmgr/showdetails.php/id/51

........some instant pictures when I picked up the bike from Walter's shop in Colton, also his Dwarf car powered by a Yamaha FZR 1000 with all hand formed and oxy/acetlyne welded aluminum body  by Walter...........
