Dennis is on the money. For us who work all day and try to ride/race weekends, time and trouble are paramount to the small $'s generated from selling off some spares to support our habit.

I'll pretty much give parts away to any enthusiast who'll stop by my garage, especially if they have a beer. But I need a bit more incentive to hassle with digi-pics, the net, boxing, and filling out a simple UPS form for US shipment. Almost no $ amount is worth the precious time I don't have, to deal with outside-US shipping--and we simpleton anti-bureaucrats cringe over the US postal system, avoid it like the plague.

That being said, I've accommodated several friendly and cooperative Aussies, Canucks, French and Italians who asked first, and were considerate of the additional time involved, undertood inability to track shipping, slow delivery, currency conversion, etc, and likewise have received help and parts from overseas friends too. The easiest bike sale I've experienced was a Harescrambler sold in to Italy (no one in US would step up)...buyer wired funds to my bank, had a trucking firm pick up from my house, and used a US intermediary to deal with crating, shipping and customs.

Mau10, Dirtbike & all,
Since I've known Dennis for several years, I must say You will never meet a guy more willing to help. And I am sure without a doubt that he didn't mean anything personal. All a matter of logistics. I'm sure many others would agree.

And my wife says I have to ask her permission to ride her Motto Guzzi and the odds of me using it as a pit bike at Mid-Ohio anymore are pretty slim [V]
