Thanks Jerry.

Still have a couple Pentons in my shop.....need to sit out this year, DR.s orders.

Bringing up Kevin and Amherst gives me great memories.  I remember Kevin and his brother, Mark, meeting up at Meadowlarks to MX or Harescramble.  Cold winters, hot dogs and hot chocolate at the counter in the clubhouse and the best of all the trophy presentations with everybody all muddy, cold and smiles !

I am going to San Diego for a CALVMX Race this weekend...maybe sneak out my Suz RM 125 for the Ironman 30 minute moto, just to ride the track, one legged, at a safe speed.....

Ask Kevin if he remembers a fellow named Jon Leak from Norwalk, Ohio....one of the best Penton racers I ever saw...I watched him win the Ohio State Championship 100 cc and 125 cc Class the same day, back to back. Jon is not with us any more, but I remember he being the smoothest rider I can remember.  He inspired me to make the Six Day White as Jon rode with a white jersey...in his memory.  God Speed Jon.

Give'em my best back in Amherst.

Dear Pogers:

I have to make a kinda ammends statement....my California racing friends talked me into getting back on the "horse" and not fear getting hurt.  So here's what I did yesterday.

Although I feel like I may have betrayed my Penton roots, I raced my 1980 Suzuki RM 125 yesterday at a CALVMX/AHRMA race in San Diego Saturday the 22nd.  I raced the Ironman, a half hour moto at the begining of the day, first time on a bike in 6 months, it felt so good, I decided to race the GP 2 Expert Class, with all the GP 1,2,3,4's and got the holeshot in both motos and never looked back, a 1-1 overall day, got 'em all.  Ye Hah !

I am paying for it today, quite sore, but a good sore.

So I decided the Six Day stays, sorry if any of you were bidding and I will be out on it at Glen Helen in 2 weeks to ride, against Dr's orders, he must have been wrong !

Thanks for all the support, you all are a great group.

Victor
