not being able to locate clutch plates for my jackpiner, i sent my plates to barnett and for $75. they rebuilt them and shipped them back to me. i'm going to send them the ones i take out,and have a backup set.they don't make new ones or have the steel discs, but my discs were o.k.just the friction material was bad.

Will they give a dicount on plates if you have a lot of them? Will they do 250 and 400 plates? I would like to find out, maybe as a group the price would get better. I know there is alot of old plates out there. Later Gary

Were your Jackpiner discs the organic style or the sintered bronze? Mike

Very resourceful, thanks Johnny.

8 nos copper plates. Does anyone know what KTM these are for ? Outside fits 74-78 clutch basket - ID = 108 mm (larger ID than the common 74/78 organic plates) - thickness is .081".

7 ea. nos aluminum plates. Fits 74-78 KTM clutchs. In the parts manual it says the aluminum disc's (non organic) are for 125's. But no mention about the aluminum organic discs.
Does anyone know if I can I use any of these on a 250 engine. ?

Thanks in advance.

Bob,
I am away from home where my Engine parts books are, but they look like the early Penton/KTM plates 1973-76, only 2mm instead of 2.5mm or 3.5mm of the 250 and 400 plates. I will look them up when I get back home Friday evening. Gary Ellis may know more about using the aluminum plate organic discs. My guess would be that they are 125/175 discs. Mike
