For Sale: 1970 Penton 125cc Six-Day Enduro
Frame number: v 4165

This is my bike, I have owned it for 6 years. It has some refurbished and NOS parts on it - but I would pretty much call it original, and unrestored. It has had very low useage, and never stored outside.
It is not made-up from a collection of parts, but is 80% original as new - even down to it's tires, and control cables. Cables w/oilers still real nice, front tire great, rear tire no-so-nice.
I do not enjoy repainting, or replacing original components of a bike unless absolutely neccesary. This bike, I reworked the original exhaust system, air filter cover, and skid plate. Those are repaired and repainted back to like-new condition. I also built the tool bag rack from a CMF rack.
The frame and gas tank have their original paint. Tank is not perfect, but beautiful. Has new decals on tank. Fenders are new repros.
The engines finish is original. The rear shocks are original, not repainted. Hex on fork caps excellent. Have not cleaned the hubs, or wheels yet.
Speedo bracket, original finish, excellent.
The chain guard's aluminum is a little chewed up around the bottom. Needs new fork seals installed.
Handlebars are perfect. Headlight original and supernice.
The seat cover was replaced and done well about 10 years ago. The seat pan is shinny like-new. The steel number plates are new repros.
It has all new NOS Magura levers, NOS gas tank cap, NOS LH shock cover, correct 2 spring NOS exhaust end-cap, and hand grips. Also has new Motoplat w/great spark - comes with the original Bosch ignition.
Free delivery to 40/10 anniversary celebration in Amherst.

Proceeds of this sale will be donated to the completion of my new shop, where more Penton motorcycles will come to life.
Thank you very much.

Bob,

Being also self employed I know how things go and how "the business" needs to me nurtured on occasion.  Good luck with your sale and also with your new shop.

Keep in mind that where ever your Penton ends up it will surely attract a lot of attention and it will most assuredly help to spread the Penton story to others.

Take care,
Paul

Bob,  Very nice bike!  Like you, I find special appeal in the original/unrestored bikes.  Good luck with the sale.  If it goes to ebay, it will be interesting to watch.  Seems to me that prices have been very soft lately -- ie, great time to buy!
