Hey, guys - I was exchanging 2010 motorcycle-activity planning today with my buddy and friend-of-POG, John Agostinelli.

John is a Pittsburgh, PA native, and has become involved as a committee member for the vintage bike display, which takes place at the annual "Mountainfest" motorcycling event, in Morgantown, WV.

When I expressed interest in bringing my Six-Day to this invitation-only Concours, John asked if we might put together a full Penton display.  Sounds like a heck of a nice way to get Penton motorcycles in front of a very large and diverse motorcycling audience.

If anyone is interested, please speak up.  It would be great if we could assemble a sampling of each Penton motorcycle model, such as Kent Knudson did for the AMA's Concours d' Elegance, in the Fall of 2008.

John himself is a big fan of vintage, small-bore, Italian motorcycles, such as the neat, little Moto Beta in the photo.  His personal display at Mountainfest is themed "Italian Cafe", and John is seeking some additional bikes to fill out his display, such as the type seen in the Moto Giro events.  That is, small-bore, vintage, Italian Cafe Racer-type machines.

Note that while the timing of Mountainfest has previously conflicted with Vintage Days, this year it does not - taking place the last weekend of July.  Please post, or PM me if you would like to inquire further about this opportunity.

The Moto Beta which I rode in 1971 had the shifter on the right, and the rear brake foot pedal on the left.   Sure threw me for a surprise the first time I went to "apply the brake" (so I thought!).

When is the display? Morgantown is my home area neck of the woods. Just a little bit over from Garrett County, MD.

Event is the last weekend of July.

AHRMA has events at "Mountainfest" this year, so there should be some Pentons racing there.
