Who ended up with that beautiful Penton, can't find it on the auction results from Daytona?

Lew Mayer

Was it near the end of the auction? If so I might know.

If you are asking about the 1974 watermelon tanked HS, I'm pretty sure it went for $2,200. It was lot 154A.  Check Proxibid.  Regards, John

By comparison there were three nice MX-version Pentons at Mid-America in Las Vegas in January that went for $2,000, $1,900, and $1,000 respectively for a Hare Scrambler, a Mint and a Six Days.  None seemed (from photos) to be in quite the same shape as the Daytona bike, and none were enduro set up.  The SD seemed like quite a nice deal.  Link to results below.

Thanks guys, very nice original machine!

Lew Mayer

It may not stay original for long. He may tear it down and powdercoat it.
