Hey Poggers - I was watching a very nice 76 MC5 250 in Colorado and the 76 MC5 400 "project bike" in Pennsylvania.  Can anyone tell me what happened to them - did they sell?

Ebay # 190288818726 76 400 in Pennsylvania sold for $830. # 200315017797 77 MC5 250 in Colorado is still listed with 7 days to go, if it is the one you were referring to. Mike

Thanks, Michael.  I must have missed the 250 when I looked this morning.  I found it.

Man...Colorado.  I wonder if anybody would be coming to Mid-Ohio in July from Colorado...[:I]

Okay (sigh....)- I missed it.  Did anyone see what the 250 in Colorado (200315017797) in Colorado went for?  It's just not quite time for me to go shopping yet, but that was a fine example......:(

Thanks for a reply,

It reached $1,825.00 but did not reach the reserve evidently. Hard to tell what the seller was shooting for. If you type the listing number in the search field on eBay, it will display the listing even though it has ended. Mike

Thanks again.  I'm going to give him a call and see what he's looking for ($$) and if he'll put it on lay-away for Christmas. [8D]

Well...I called the phone number on the listing and it turns out that this gentlemen's reserve is quite a bit more than $1825. Must be a awfully pretty bike up close....

He will list it again in the future but it's currently outta my range.

Darn it...and to make matters worse, Ernie P has already got an MC-5 project started in his garage. [}:)]

Bob,  Actually we go from garage to the track this weekend.  There will be much sorting to do.  Just hope I don't come in on the end of a tow rope.  Wish us luck.

Keep looking.  There is a bike with your name on it at the price you want to pay.

Now I AM jealous - but just because you get to hit the racetrack and I don't.  Are you going to the White Lightning CC event? If so, good luck with the bike and the body...and good luck with your water-proofing. :D

We'll keep looking...

Bob,

You need to spend more time online.  A brand new 1978 400 MC sold for $6,000.00 in Feb. 09 on eBay.

Oh I saw it, Tony!  I made THAT one my desktop wallpaper.  [:p]

But (just like the excellent work that I know you do) I continue to be very impressed at how thorough some of these bike restorations are.  Sure, profit may be a motive for some...but I like to think that it still takes passion (for these bikes) and some real skill sets to do this right.

And BTW - my wife informs me (weekly) that I spend too much time online....[:I]
