jackpiner mikuni airboot

I'm going to insatll a new 32mm mikuni on a '73 jackpiner.I need to know will I encounter a problem hooking it up with the stock air boot.

i just had this situation. this is what i did. take the rubber boot between the carb and airbox off along with the carb, run the rubber boot under very hot water until soft and pliable. stretch it over the back of the carb while still warm. then you can mount the carb and you can adjust the boot orientation as long as it is still stretched over the rear carb bell. by the way, what jetting are you running on that carb? i've searched here and the specs are pretty varied. i'm looking for the a reliable setup complete with needle, needle jet, main, pilot. basically the whole gamut. thanks, chi jer

 Thanks for the info on the carb boot. I'll give that a try. The carb specs I'll have to do some searching. Will try looking back in old postings. Thanks again.

 Thanks for the info warming upthe air boot, worked great, just not a lot of space to work in. Bought a prejetted carb from sudco. works great. Thanks again.

denis, i'm glad that my tip worked out for you. if you don't mind, would you mind sharing your jetting specs with me? i have a new 32 mik carb mounted but i'm not quite there yet jetting wise. whats your location? hopefully similar to northern ohio elevation wise. thanks, chi jer

Hey gents,went through the same on my six days used the wifes blowdryer worked great,bought my mikuni through ams came with a sudco sticker on it.Fired up second kick ran purt near perfect out of the box.
