I just wanted to let you folks know, starting at the Marion CC race June 20-21 I'll be filming all of my races from start to finish. This could be pretty interesting. I plan on editing my footage and post some short clips of each race with the best stuff, hopefully no crashes.

At the Reunion Ride I plan to film the entire event, from start to finish. Anyone that wants a copy I'll send one for whatever the cost of mailing and CD, probably less than $5.

Cool idea Brian; watch out for low hanging branches!

The camera is tiny Mick, its about 1" long and about 12mm in diameter. If I hit it with a branch, I'm gonna have other issues. :D

Thatll be great. Hope it has sound but that is a lot to ask. Check the Isle of Man swingarm-mounted cams w/ sound. A crazy perspective. Wouldnt work so well on the Berkshire.

The camera has an in-line mic, and when I tested it in the house with my helmet on my voice sounded like I was holding a mic and speaking into it. I am going to have to put something over the mic, foam or something, to prevent the exhaust from overpowering it. I'm going riding tomorrow and Sunday to test the setup and get it dialed in. Once I get it right, it should sound great.

For those curious, this is the camera I bought

and this is what I am using to record too, its an RCA (Thompson) Lyra x3030

Yup, its got a USB port and regular RCA hookups so you can play the video on a computer or straight to a TV.

OK, here is one of my first attempts at filming. The raw footage from the camera is twice as good as this, when you upload it to one of these sites its blurs it and makes it more shakey for some reason. It was also my first attempt at riding the MC5 400 in the woods so I was a little tentative at first. Hope you guys like it.

Very cool video and great place to ride! Just watching you rip the tight stuff makes my knuckles sore.

Good Job!

Steve, I have to be honest, that 400 is a little intimidating in the woods. When you pull the trigger on that thing you darn well better be pointed the direction you want to go. Its fast, too fast for 1st-2nd gear woods really, but if you short shift its not too bad.

Oh I know about 400's in the woods. I still have a 1977 GS6 that I bought new. It's a beast. I couldn't ride to it's potential when I was at my best, much less now. I retired it and went to 125's. They make you work a little harder, but at least my eyes don't tear up as often. I will say though that a 125, or 100 for that matter, in the right hands can be very fast...

I didnt realize that when I was editing the clip I cut the end off. I added the end on and uploaded the full clip, right where it cut off last time I hit a tree.:D
