New info: this bike to be featured in About.com's Classic Motorcycles section and also in an upcoming issue of VMX Magazine:D
I've decided to offer my better than new 1980 KTM 420 for sale. I have too many health issues to pursue off-road riding again after a 4 year hiatus.
The bike needs nothing and is quite literally better than new. It starts/runs/rides as a new bike should. Vibration is low for a open class, air cooled, 2-stroke. Everything has been powdercoated, plated, polished, or painted. Price is now $7200. I will deliver it free within 200 miles of Asheville, NC or deliver it to the Forward Air terminal in Greenville, SC with 4 tiedowns and a crate lock. Buyer would be responsible for the cost of shipping and crate rental. I have all of the original KTM parts, service, and owners manuals plus the hard to find fold out sales literature. There are also some spares that go with it. I can be reached at 828-371-7582 or at [email protected].

Just a suggestion, I would list it both as a KTM and Penton in your ad.  You should get a little more exposure.

Beautiful scooter and very well done.
