Looks very cool, I still would go with a air cooled motor with a carb in a new frame.  If i could get a KTM 150 or 200 with a blown motor and get a rebuilt 250 cc air cooled motor it would be perfect.

That "modern" but vintage style penton is absolutely beautiful, classic, etc.  we know that corvette, t-bird, VW, Fiat and mustang have produced vintage style machines that have sold well in the market.  Should someone approche KTM for a limited addition production?  Smile....... I think so.  A lot of these "replicas", assuming competitive in racing, will surely sell.  I'll buy one for my son.....smile. Go for it KTM because you will actually make money.

Would be cool but a lot of work! Motorcycle companies are missing the boat as the "Boomers" are the ones with all the cash.  Look how the Retro Mustangs and Dodge Challengers are selling.  Make them simple, user friendly and close to the ground and cut the price and they will sell! I would buy one in a minute!

The modern bike with vintage styling will sell well in the 125cc class (assuming a green tank) and be competitive today.  I think it would be interesting if one of the POG veterans show this photo to KTM headquarters in Ohio.  It would be an honor to produce say 300 bikes.  I'm sure all 300 would sell as more requests come in. Even, a unique VIN number would be Kool.  This would be another chapter in the motorcycle history. Kip, Paul, Jack, Al Bu., and others what do you think? seriously.

Sorry to hear of Al's passing.  To was good to talk to you Al over the phone in 2010 about moto subjects and the past.
