'68 ciriani shock rebuild V416

nsujeff, Bullseye! The Aermacchi's just showed up today and they were the ticket. I will have to splice my tops onto the bottoms to get the correct length (4 1/4") and have the whole thing come out nice enough for chrome, but it's a doable thing. It's that bottom recess that captures the locks that's the sticking point on these things and the Aermacchi's are identical except for length.
I've also found the eight rubber bushings and have them in hand.
 The Aermacchi's I bought ($35) for the covers also had a full set of bushings in them so that was a 'gift' and now I have an extra set of those too.
 And so, right now here in in NY's Mid Hudson Valley there are bands playing, fireworks going off, and pretty girls twirling batons.
 Well, actually, it's just me and the dog. But if I'm happy he's happy:D
