Have been to Barbers for a couple of years now. Really have enjoyed it. But would really like to see more from the dirt community as far as show bikes. Maybe if these bikes show up and get the attention they deserve more people will want to see more racing and such. I do think they will listen to suggestions because they are motorcycle people at heart. Could be wrong but at present it does seem as if dirt is treated as second class. Maybe if they created more off site parking with security and trams back and forth they could open more space for activities and swap meet. One of the biggest reasons for me to go is the swap meet and right now the space is very limited. Being that it is close to home is nice too. Thanks for listening.

Does anyone know how many folks attend the Vintage Festival ?

Thanks

I just got a call from Brian Slark from Barbers Motorsports, He says that David Lambreth stood up for the AHRMA Racers and now only AHRMA racers will be in pits. They are putting up a fence and gate.  AHRMA people will have armbands and vehicle passes. There have been a record amount of tickets sold this year. They added 70 more vendor spots and there is still 50 people on the waiting list. POG has the offer of a spot on A26 next to the guys from THE KICKSTAND MOTORCYCLE PARTS AND ACCESSORIES. Paul contact me for phone numbers for the Kickstand and Lee Clark.

Paul, They had record numbers almost every year. I believe it is now bigger than Mid Ohio in attendance. They have sold a record amount of tickets already this year. ISDT Rider Brian Slark works at Barbers and was invaluable in helping us get the restricted parking for the offroad racers. He says David Lambreth really stood up to the promoters.

Thanks to the efforts of Dwight Rudder, and the kindness of Lee Clark, the POG will once again have a presence at the Barber Vintage Festival :D

I spoke with Lee yesterday and he could not have been more gracious in his offer to allow the POG to set up in a portion of his booth area.

POG VP Scott Brogan is already working out the details of having the Al Born commemorative shirts available at the display. More details will follow as the plan takes shape.

On another note, my hat is off to all involved in developing a good working relationship with the folks at Barber on behalf of the off-road racers.

Again, thank you Dwight and Lee.

I love going to Barber!!! I love the CC course, which used to be too tight but has improved as of late, and I really like the grass (dirt) track for the MX. I got to start right next to Dave Aldena last year - what a thrill. He did get the hole shot, but I was right behind him. I think he is 65, hard to keep up with those young guys!!! I will go early and save you (AL B./POG) a space at the side of my open trailer behind our motor home in the off-road pit area if nothing else opens up for you. Teddy

Lee will be bringing one or two of my Pentons for display at the POG tent. I think my Jackpiner 1973, and maybe a 1970 125 steeltanker.
