Now that the kickstarter bonus items are being shipped, has anyone gotten their poster and find that it's been damaged in shipment? Mine got damaged from sliding back and forth in the tube, tube is fine and undamaged, but the poster is wrinkled and has some small tears on one side. Talked to a friend that also has the same issue. Just wondering if it is a common problem? Learn to live with it ?

My poster came with the same issue. It's because of the cheap crimp type tube instead of the little more expensive ones with the caps on the end of it. Weren't they supposed to be signed? Mike

Maybe signed came at a higher donation level. Maybe Todd will chime in and we can get some answers.

I think the signed poster was with a higher donation level.  I was in at the beginning level and my poster was quite tight inside the tube.  I had to open the crimped end as smooth as possible and shake to get the poster center to begin to exit.  Then cautiously wound it tighter on exit to remove.  It was NOT damaged.   I then wound it tighter and closed with a rubber band for storage in the tube until ready to mount it.  Maybe I was a lucky one.    Nelson McCullough

Nelson,
Yeah, I think you are one of the lucky ones.  Mine was damaged as well.

Mine was damaged, too. Torn & wrinkled. Looked like it was stuffed in the tube that way.

Hi Everyone,

I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving holiday. Sorry for any of the damaged posters some of you may have received. It's probably a combination of the tube design (we were trying to save some money and time by the simpler design), and maybe the part-time help to put all these packages together. This Kickstarter fulfillment project is a big, expensive task (though we love it and love everyone's support!) and we are a small, humble operation as I know Jack and John can attest to since they have been here.

Darri is doing everything she can to get packages out and deal with the phone calls (and some less than patient and understanding souls).

We are more than happy to replace the posters you have that are damaged and have ordered different tubes with the caps on the end. Hopefully, they'll survive the trip better but that's the best we can do.

Please email Darri directly at [email protected] and explain the issue and she will send a new poster(s) when we get the new tubes.

Again, we apologize for the hassle and hope you all can be patient. I guess we are better film makers than poster-senders. ;)

Best,

Todd

Heck, I'm still waiting for my tickets to the movie premier.

Once upon a time years ago a grizzled ex-union fellow employee of mine at IBM offered up this observation. "It's a days work for a days pay, anything else is gravy". I never forgot that line, and from my perspective the donation was the 'days work' and the gifts, the 'gravy'. Therefore I would not have been upset even had my poster and DVD not arrived at all. I would submit that observation to the consideration in particular to those "less patient and understanding" souls. The movie we backed was completed in fine style as promised.
Todd, you've done a fine job and thank you. 'Sorry you're getting flak!

To be precise, the donation level required to get a signed (large) poster was $100 (minimum).  Cheers.

Todd definitely did a great job from initial vision to the Premier and forward. Also to add to that is their great customer service, as replacements will be sent out soon for those with damaged posters which just makes their involvement above and beyond good work! Mike
