I've got a '72  Six-Days and I need the o-rings that seal the steering head.

Anyone know what size they are?  Bearing is 43mm OD.  I'm thinking a 43mm O-ring, but haven't any idea the thickness, as the originals must've broken and fell off sometime in the last 43 years. Stuff just doesn't last [:p]

Do you grease them or install them dry and light oil in the bearings?

Grease them as well as the bearing balls, Kendall Blue Grease rules!

Grease on the ball bearings and in the races keeps everything in place as you assemble the steering stem.
