I'm restoring a 1978 MC5 250 and need new shocks for vintage MX racing. I contacted Progressive and they weren't much help. Said that they can't recommend a replacement being they don't have a listing for my bike. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Works performance makes great shocks that last and last. Most guys find them a bit steep in price range, but back aches get even more expensive!!  WP  is there logo...
Progressive does sell vintage shocks, you may have to find a local vintage motorcycle  dealer (on line too) to get the pair you want.  The factory sales rep and his lack of response: well I won't elaborate on that subject...

I have Falcons on my Penton. Love em. Put a set of NJB MX Experts on my Can Am because I needed the small diameter springs. I like them a lot too. Put them on at the beginning of the season. Only have a few rides and races on them, but so far so good, for the money. Matt will set them up for length, your weight and riding style also.
Bob, at B&J racing, can do the same with the Falcons.

If I were you, I would look into the Noleens piggybacks.
