I'm looking for comment on interest in setting up a group event for next spring.  Keep in mind if you are passing through prior the opportunity and an invitation to explore this gem has been extended to all.  It is recommended you contact Dave to let him know you are coming.

Would there be interest in picking a weekend where a group of us could meet at Dave Sanders residence in Lawrenceville, Illinois?  Lawrenceville is located about mid way between St. Louis, Indianapolis, and Louisville.  He does have and area to ride and possibly camp.  Hotels are available nearby in Vincennes (about 20 minutes away).  The highlight of the weekend would be the opportunity to talk and visit with Dave and Diane and visit his personal museum.

Options to explore could include riding, field games, a barbecue, and possibly an informal meeting.

How long has this guy been collecting Pentons . Got some neat equipment and accessories. Way cool

Dave was a Penton dealer back in the day and not only collects but rides. You better be on your A game if you're going to keep up with him in the woods.

That explains a lot . More stuff than I ever saw except in a dealer place and never the assortment .  Shout out to hotrod392 you ever saw the race over in Red Boiling Springs , TN in the 70's your neck of the woods ???

hotrod392

Toolsurfer,
I've never been to the Boiling Springs race.

I was a west coast guy until 2000 and was born in 1969 so I missed all the golden years of motorcycle evolution.

Dave sure has a great collection of Penton stuff.

I always wondered what museum in Illinois my ole 1973 175 JP went to.
I didn't see it in any of the pics?
