Greetings,

The Penton Owners Group, in conjunction with the Amherst Cinema located in Amherst, Ohio, will be showing the John Penton movie on Saturday October 17th at 1 pm.

Mark Costilow, the owner of the Amherst Cinema, is very excited to see the John Penton movie shown in John's hometown and has graciously offered the use of the theater at no charge.

The city of Amherst, Ohio and it's residents have always welcomed the Penton Owners Group with open arms anytime we have needed their assistance, as well as when Todd Huffman and crew arrived in town for the filming of the John Penton movie, as numerous scenes were filmed in and around Amherst.

In appreciation of the hospitality mentioned above, and with the generous support of Mark Costilow of the Amherst Theater, there will be No charge to attend this once in a lifetime showing of the John Penton movie in the town that John grew up in and still lives in today.

However there is a catch...there are only 300 seats in the theater and if you want to be assured a seat you should pick up your tickets at the Amherst Theater box office ahead of time. If there are tickets left on the day of the viewing you can get them then, but that is your chance to take. The theater is located at 260 Church St, Amherst, OH 44001, and their phone number is 440-988-7711.

For those who have the dvd and watched it on a tv screen, you really need to see it on the big screen.

Greetings,

Mark from the Amherst Theater says that the tickets are almost gone. It will be great to have a full house, should be an exciting time in Amherst.... Thank you Mark for your generosity, it is very much appreciated.

A few years back Dale Barris from On The Edge Honda sponsored a showing of "Take It To The Limit" at the Amherst Theater, the films producer Peter Starr was on hand for the evening, it was an exciting time that folks still talk about. Peter Starr also is the man behind the "Bad Rock" two day ISDT Qualifier movie that many of you have seen, if not you need to get it, Paul Stannard from Strictly Hodaka has the "Bad Rock" movie on DVD available thru Strictly Hodaka.

Weather permitting we hope to have an outdoor motorcycle display with sales of movie items, DVDs, shirts, ect, being sold inside, hopefullly next to the popcorn machine...:)

Hope to see you there,
Paul

A great time was had by all on Saturday with the showing of the John Penton movie in John's hometown theater. The first attendees started to arrive an hour before showtime.

The Amherst Theater was "Pentonized" with a Jackpiner placed on the stage next to the screen, a Steel Tanker was placed in the lobby next to the POG table which was filled with POG merchandise and seemed to constantly have folks gathered around keeping POG Pres. Dale busy.

Penton and KTM banners were placed in several prominent locations and the POG easy-up was placed outside the theater and needed anchored down as it was a bit windy, rumor has it that some snow flurries did fly while the movie was showing. A CMF Berkshire was ridden into town and displayed outside the theater, I think it was said it used to belong to Randy Kirkbride.

Amherst Theater owner Mark Costilow really went all out to make us all feel welcome and kept the popcorn machine busy supplying all of the attendees with free popcorn. THANK YOU very much Mark !

The guests of honor, Mr. and Mrs. John Penton, were just as gracious as ever and they received a great round of applause before the movie when Jack introduced them to the crowd.

Thanks to all who helped to make this such a memorable event.

Paul

Jack on stage.  Theater must be haunted with all the ghostly orbs visible.

Apologies if I am incorrect.  I believe this to be our new member Dave Hribal (of Amherst) and his Berksire he rode in on.
