Anyone have a spare Motoplat going to midohio?

If anyone has a spare motoplat going to midohio that I could borrow/buy, I am in need of one.. 74 Penton 250HS..
  I got the 250HS out sunday to go over everything and doing last minute prep stuff... Took it out for a spin and after 3-4 laps it just died...   Lost spark....   And this is a fresh rebuilt one..
  Tested and only getting 158 ohms so will have to send it back.
But short on time now...
  Leaving Thur Morning for Mid-Ohio..

Before you give up on it try running a ground wire from the stator plate to the frame coil mount. Motoplats require a good solid ground and a lot of the time engine mount bolts just don't cut it reliably. Mike

Mike,
  Way ahead of you...   I always clean to bare metal all contact points where the motoplat mounts, and engine mounts..
Then run a 10gauge wire from the motoplate to the coil....
  It had all this done..

The ohm readings for the motoplat are supposed to be 160 to 240.
Mine reads 158..

Just my luck to happen 2 days before leaving for Mid-Ohio.

A big THANKS to Gary Ellis for bringing his supply of motoplats to go thru.. We found one to work on my 250HS...  Worked so good I won a National #1 plate with it..
  And a big thank you to Chicago Jerry for help getting the timing right..
