Hey does anybody know the correct way to measure a wheel spoke. is it from threaded end to spoke curve in spoke,  OR is it from threaded end of spoke opposite end of spoke.....

This is what Walridge in Canada asks for.  Note: They typically stock both galvanized and stainless sets for Penton drum hubs.  They are all the same length and the ones used in the outside direction need some bending (rubber hammer) :)  Penton spokes are currently on page 112 of their catalog and cost about $75 US per set each in stainless and as a bonus they include a few extra.

I would pay the extra amount to get the stainless; much stronger, and will last longer.

Don't forget, Walridge also has chrome rims for the Pentons in stock, use them all the time.

The people at Waldridge are very helpful and sent me the exact spokes and fit perfectly, the people at Buchanan gave me similar spokes but all needed to be tweeked to work (wrong bends)just my 2 cents
