Painting a Windsor tank

I have a NOS white Windsor tank for CMF Penton if anyone is interested

I have 4, some used, some new.

I know this may sound crazy but may be crazy enough to work?
Doing some research on the internet and found some sides showing color changes using Dye?
All color changes, like blue plastic tank to Black using clothing dye and leaving in solution for a long period.

I don't know if this would work on a opaque/white Windsor tank dyed to red?

Has anyone heard of this and if so what where your experiences?
