Greetings,

Judy and I have been wanting to visit a flea market that takes place once a month in the spring/summer/fall months a couple of hours from home, and did so today. As per my usual habit I selected a Penton/POG T-shirt to wear in the hope that it might lead to something........and it did.

Just as we were about to head to the truck a gentleman walked up and asked if I ever had a Penton, to which I said that I did. In turn I asked him the same question, to which he replied that he still has his Jackpiner from "back in the day". His better half chimed in that it has been sitting covered in their basement for many, many years.

Turned out we did ride some of the same tracks "back in the day". I mentioned the POG to him and suggested that he ought to check out the website, to which he replied that he doesn't have a computer.

As we talked on a bit he said that for years he figured that he was "alone" in his passion for keeping his beloved Jackpiner in the house and that he would love to get it out and running again.

He said he will get a list of what he needs together and then he will be calling for some help in sourcing the parts....surely he will soon know Al Buehner as well :)

Sure made my day....possibly I can bring him to a meeting sometime.

THANK YOU Scott Brogan for creating those POG/Penton shirts....Judy also likes for me to wear the brightly colored ones as she can spot me even a few isles away as we look for treasures.

I sometime find myself NOT wearing my Penton shirts when Im in a hurry somewhere because I know someone usually asks about them, I end up running late! But they do get attention .
