This coming weekend is the 65th running (actually 64th) (because it got cancelled for lack of volunteers one year) of the Corduroy Enduro, in Haliburton Highlands of Ontario.

The event is noteworthy because it is the only event that all of the riding Penton family members (John, Tom, Jeff and Jack) have won.

This year they have instituted a Friday event called the Vintage GP, as short 50-60 km. ride with 3 timed tests. There are a variety of classes for bikes, but also the V100 class where your age and the bike age add up to at least 100! With my age and my 1977 GS6 I'm in there at 102. I know Helmut will be there and many other noteworthy Cord veterans.

A great fun event. Honored to start on row 5 with my old Cord competitor Helmut "Speedy" Clausen...and yes he is still speedy!
I rode my 74 husky 125WR, a 5 time finisher of the 300+ mile Cord back in the day.
Also great to meet Mike...who rode on row 6 on his GS6.

The club was VERY please with the response...and is looking to expand the event next year...one not to miss!
