Does anyone have experience modifying the dampening rods on the Zoke forks from the mid 80's?

There was a Tech Bulletin fron KTM on the 38mm.  Not sure If I know where mine is right now.  If you hit up Mike Lenz on Facebook I believe he may know.

From an old Cycle World article, hydraulic lock was noted in the M-zoke forks. Mentioned is drilling another hole 90 degrees .5 inches above the (same dia. as adjacent hole) compression hole, the one lowest on the damper rod, just above the hydraulic stop cone, noted also that Can-Ams had this mod done at the factory. I didn't know about a bulletin from KTM or the mod to the compression hole that Larry and Tom talked about. But I have modified 40 mm fork tube damper rods for Race Tech emulators. I have some data if you're interested.

Thanks Tom, I did that mod many years ago!

I also have read the article about modifying the 1978 38mm damper rods with the additional holes because of arm pump and fatigue. On late 78 early 79 MX6 model KTM's they did it at the factory.
