Penton/KTM (shifting) side case paint

So - I may have asked this before but what the heck:  time to redo my KTM left side/shifter side covers, which get used and abused courtesy of my racing boots.

I'm obviously looking for some durability, if that is even possible.  I think I have historically used or tried an enamel-based paint, then maybe clear coat.

Just wanted to hear from The POG Collective on what might last two or three seasons, if possible.
