NEW PENTON OWNER 1977 MC5 400 in MALIBU CA

Hi folks!

Just scored a nice 1977 Penton MC5 400. The bike was apparently a European delivery (Blue Tank, Blue/Yellow Side Covers) with white fenders. Previous owner used KTM Stickers on the tank.  How do you include photos??

From what I have read  on the MC5 the larger GS6 tank was a West Coast option for us lunatic Desert Racers?

I absolutely hate vintage dirt bikes!:D  Thats why I only have 20.

The Penton will sleep next to a 501 Maico, 1978 Bultaco 370 Pursang, C&J Racing Frame BSA B50MX, 1964 Triumph T100SC, Yamaha MX400, and a Rickmn B50MX.

Any one have a nice tank for a MC5 or a CS6 and side covers? In case I want to change the bike to look like a US delivered Penton. Will the tank from any other Pentons fit?

Hi Jeff and welcome to the group!
Use the search feature in the upper right hand corner or go to the home page and use the search feature. Type in - 77 MC5 colors - and you will begin to understand why you haven't received a response yet. The colors of your bike do not necessarily mean that it was for European delivery and may be how the bike was delivered here in the USA. After reading the answers in the search you can decide which scheme is right for you. I am working on a 1977 GS6 250 and it is orange and yellow.
