I haven't seen brand new original ones for years. I had sent originals to DC plastics to reproduce long ago, and the quality of their products have improved lately. Bear in mind there are two different size rear fenders the larger used on late 77 and 78 MC5.

Mike,

I was not looking for NOS.  But would gladly take one if found...

Any good used fenders would be OK.

Wondering why so few plastic KTM Fenders are around when with other Euro and Jap bikes you can still find plastic fenders in OK useable condition ? I have lots of nice used plastic and even fiberglass fenders for Bultacos, Maicos, Yamaha etc. Even a few alloy fenders from Huskys

The Maico Fiberglass fenders are from 1970-71 which is 6 years older then the MC5 KTMs.

And with Maico fiberglass they crack just from vibration.  And everyone remembers with fiberglass you drop the bike one time and you are usually buying a new fender.

Seems odd that KTM fenders are not around when they built soooo many MC5s??

Looks like he has a front fender and a 77-78 longer rear fender, but not the earlier 76 rear fender.

Looks like DC plastics. Has anyone used any? Any good?

Larry Perkins

They are not as shiny as the originals because they are made using a less expensive process.  They fit well and are quite durable.  Not for a museum quality restoration but great for a rider/racer and affordable.  Last NOS front fender I sold went for $150 and you can get DC Plastics front and rear for less than that.
