Penton Spoke Torque Spec

I figured I would share this with the group as I couldn't find it documented anywhere.  For years when lacing wheels, I would just tighten spokes till they seemed tight enough, but not too tight. 

Anyway, I finally broke down and bought a good spoke torque wrench so I wouldn't be guessing, but I couldn't find a torque spec in any of the Penton manuals or here, so I called Buchanan's, and their recommendations are.

Steel Wheels with Aluminum Hubs – 35 in-lbs.
Aluminum Wheels with Magnesium Hubs  - 25 to 30 in-lbs.

Thanks Kevin, good info, I know a lot of folks don't realize that the old clinking on the spoke will get you by, and has been std for decades, But when you receive a RE-laced wheel for a pro shop,(Buchanan's) the torque specs are attached on a toe tag from builder. + a Note to retorque after a ride or two. Very even torque must be good!
Rear wheel on my 75 Pursang from Buchanan's came back 40 inch LBS.
Do you torque a rod bearing cap on an auto engine? I hope so.....
