I have recently seen some trick front number plate mounts for 35mm forks. They were made of a what looked like aluminum and wrapped around each upper fork and mounted to the number plate with one bolt on each side. Does anyone know where to get them?

thump,
Al has some like you describe , they are stainless and use a big o-ring to hold them on the forks. I think karl has them made up for us. Look on the home page for parts supliers . Al # is in that list.

The ones on Ebay ($30) can be bought from Charlie Richardson at CR Vintage Racing for $25. They are aluminum. His number is (760) 451-0056. I have them on all my bikes.

Thanks for all the info. I think the ones Teddy is talking about is what I am looking for. I saw them on his bike at Casey.

Follow this link to page #19 of Al Buehner's "Penton Parts", Volume 1 Issue 6. See if this is the number plate mount you're talking about.
