Can anyone tell me anything about the following Sachs Motor tag # are 8652209   hubr 255          type 2551/7a .What year of bike would this motor of come from and isthis the same type used on Pentons.  Thanks

I may be way off but it sounds like a 250cc 7 speed out of a Hercules, probably mid to late 70's     Kip

Thanks Kip, There is a guy selling a Sachs Motor and I'm looking for some parts for one of my 125 Penton projects.  If it is a Hercules then maybe somebody else could use it. I have not made an offer on it yet.  I'm checking some other sources to verify the motor before I go any further.  Thanks Again Kip....Kirk Sessions
