I received an email from [email protected] and Bob has the airbox boots readily avialable. The 3 most common sizes for the 73-80 Penton/KTM's are the Accordian style part # 0014 used with fiberglass triangle airboxes from 73 to the 76 Enduro models are $ 49.50 and the offset style used on 76 MC5's through 80 250 part # 0152 with a 70mm airbox opening, 50mm carb opening and 60mm length $ 24.20 and a similar 70mm airbox opening, 50mm carb opening, and 70mm length part # 0151 $ 24.20 They list some newer applications as well as a 1972 boot, but the application for it is unclear.
I am interested in placing an order for several boots and if there are any POG members that need to order, we may get a 10% discount and save by combining the shipping from Austrailia for several boots at one time. Please let me know if anyone needs to order one or more. Thanks, [email protected] or ph. (618)-793-2200

I am in need of a air boot for the 74 250 harescrambler I am rebuilding. It has a lectron carb and the air boot that is on it is the offset style you described as fitting the 76 models. I would be interested in ordering with you. I have gone to their website but I can't get the link that shows their rubber products to load. Let me know when you are going to order and I will send you payment. My email is [email protected]. Thanks, Terry

I will need one for a 1978 MC 5 250 please.  I will measure the stock airbox tonight and the Lectron inlet.  Thanks in advance!  :D

Mike  Original 78 MC 250 airbox measures 72mm, NOS Lectron carb inlet measures 65mm.  I'll take one airboot if you can get them shortly.  [email protected]

Rob Wager at [email protected] mentioned that he had just completed the mold for a fiberglass airbox to Lectron carb boot, but that should be the larger 122mm airbox side. He didn't state the carb measurement, but currently there is no listing for one for the later 72mm plastic airbox size to Lectron carb. I'm sure there would be a market for the later style boot as I think a lot of us (including myself) would like to have a Lectron carb on their bikes.

Hello everyone,

Rob Wager from ozktmparts here. It is true that I have done the lectron to fiberglass airboot. Terry Everett of Penton Motorcycles sent me a NOS original which I have replicated for him. I have only hand poured the part but it has turned out pretty good.

It is about 110mm diameter across the airbox end and about 65mm across the carb end.

You should maybe contact Terry and let him know you need them. He is yet to see the sample I sent him, but I am sure he will be OK with it.

Oh and regarding the ozktm site - Adrain and I have both changed jobs
(which means the site was moved) and we have not got it up to speed again. If you need the Penton/KTM parts .pdf file email me at ozktmparts AT bigpond DOT com and I will shoot it over.

Cheers

Rob Wager
