Yea, I have a similar disorder: part timers, and on occasion most timers, then eventually they call it Alzheimers. What were we talking about? Mike

Freddie,

The only site that I am aware of is
http://www.ktm495.mxbikes.com/ their primary focus is the 495's, but at times they cover some questions on 79 - 80 models.  They have some (meager) brochures and parts manuals for 79 & 80's.

You might find some useful information there.

Freddie,
If you haven't found a good seat for your 1980 KTM, I just picked up another one that needs recovering, but may have a decent seat pan according to the seller. My offer still stands on the free one and I only paid $ 5.99 for this slightly better one;

I bought it with a good front fender and cable guide I wanted, and figured you might still need one. Let me know where to send both of them.  Maybe between the 2 of them you can have a fairly decent one to have recovered.
[email protected] or, (618)-793-2200 Lv. msg. if I am not available at the moment, and I will call you back. Mike

Hey guys,

After years of concentrating on the vintage Pentons, I now have some reasons to start expanding the boundries of my KTM knowledge - 1978 and up.
I brought home 9 new ones + yesterday.
'81 125
'80 420
'79 400
'79 roller
'78 250 MC5
'77 400 MC5
'76 250 ....Hare Scrambler (unususal one)
'74 1/2 250......"......"

Finally one with yellow plates, I'm excited, I've never raced post vintage yet, now I'll have a reason to stay at the races for 2 days.
