1977 GS6 Silencer

I am in need of a 1977 GS-6 Silencer if anyone knows where one could be located, as Al hadn't had these for quite some time. If there is someone that can assist me in ordering one (articolo 34) from the overseas site http://www.pillondorino.com/HomePage.htm , that could be very helpful. The shipping might be somewhat affordable on just the silencer, as I received a nice 77 GS-6 250 pipe missing the silencer and with a late model KTM end cap tack welded in place. Thanks, Mike

Michael -- if you haven't figured it out yet.  Go to Google.  Then go to language tools.  Then go to the spot where it lets you type in the URL of a web site and select translate from Italian to English. You'll be able to read it all (not always a perfect translation). I don't think the site allows you to order, though.  Best, John  If you figure out a way to place an order, PM me please.  One of those early HS pipes would be nice!

Based on what little knowledge I have about Pillondorino, they will not ship product out of Italy.  You will need someone to purchase the product and then ship it directly to you.  It is my understanding that the cost to ship anything from Italy to the USA is quite a bit more expensive than from some of the other European countries.

I have had the oportunity speak with Roberto Pettinato (Parmabike) and he is not only good friends with Pillon Dorino, but has another good friend that lives close to him and will be sending a silencer and a set of handlebars to Roberto in Florida and then to me. I'll post the end resulting costs when received. It may be that these items will finally be affordable with Robertos help. Unfortunatley complete pipes may be quite expensive to ship because of their size, but we will have to see. Mike

i have had good luck with a gent in italy.  sicily really.
his name is angelo massimo.......he is on ebay somewhere so you will
have to search.
i have purchased various parts from him and not had a problem.
he takes paypal.
he usually sells vespa parts but i have gotten french and german
cycle parts from him.
his english is not that good but passable.
be very specific on purchase price, shipping, etc. so no misunderstanding occurs.
you can tell him i sent you

and i can give you his phone #.  he is a motorcyle nut too
so it won*t be an imposition on his time.

Roberto has listed some Penton parts including handlebars and 1973 250 club tail type silencer and 75 chrome end cones with Buy it Now pricing. Listings are now at the last of "Penton" in eBay search. Mike
