Any particular year, Leo?  I've have to go looking to be sure, but I'm almost certain I've got what you need.  If so, how 'bout if I scan and e-mail to you?  That way you'll have it right away, and in color.

that would be great.
the Honda MR 250 was only made for 1 year.....1976.
Cycle magazine and Dirt Bike both had tests.
also, Dirt Bike had a hop-up article later in 1976 too.
purchased a MR 250 at a good price and want to see how she performs.
thanks

You got it, Leo.  Things will be a little hectic over the next few days, what with the POG meeting at the AMA on Saturday and the swap meet on Sunday, but I'll have 'em to you within the next week.

I believe I've got both of those tests.  I can picture them in my mind, remembering what photos were used.  My magazine collection is all filed by publication and year, so it'll be easy to find those tests from '76.

Incidently, I restored a '75 MR175 a few years back.  I tried to post a pic last night, but ran out of time.  I'll put it on this post, just for S&G's.  Bike turned out real nice.  I did it up right, all the way down to NOS parts and stickers.  Only deviation was in paint colors:  I did not try to replicate the "chocolate brown" of the engine components, and did the tank in blue instead of the original green, to appease the wife.  The bike was built for her.

In a departure from my usual habit of holding onto everything, I sold the bike not long after completing it.  The wife rode it once and said "it was not fast enough" for her.  Oh, well.

The Dirt Bike test is in your e-mail Inbox, Leo.  Also, here's a picture of the 175 I did for the wife.

Leo.  What timing.  I just picked up a 1976 Honda MR250 last week myself.  It is in somewhat rough shape - however completely restorable.  Biggest issue is the airboot between the carb and airbox is rotted.  Tank is dented and the original handlebars are badly rusted.  Other than that .... decent shape.
