This listing has caught my eye, and you talked a bit about it in the For Sale/Wanted forum.

Can anyone give me a thumbs up or down??  Is it a good restoration??
Close to original??

Also,  if I decide to go for it, I don't want to bid against anyone here that is already in the running.

Any help would be appreciated.

Mully,
If you want the bike bid on it and don't worry about someone else on this site looking at the same bike.  The not bidding against someone deal was started on another website.  It has been debated here in the past.  The bike is a nice and should make someone a great ride.  Now everyone can come after me....[:0]

And he just lowered the reserve....per my notice from ebay.

I'm with Ron on this topic....You want it, go for it.

If there are other POG bidders, they need to understand it's not personal....just business.

Mully,
I'm with Ron,as far as bidding on something. As far as the bikes worth,it's worth as much as someone's willing to pay.I guess it depends on how much a guy has and how bad he wants something. All in all it looks like a nice bike.Seems to have been done right.

its owned by another pog member who i think is very credible. good luck on your bidding. i think that its a great bike. it has the larger 35mm forks which is a plus too.

Mully,

That bike is done top to bottom.  Very detailed.  Mark Biro did the motor and then sold it to Doug for his project.  Mark does fine detailed work as many will attest to here and elsewhere.  If you are hunting a Penton that one will not disappoint.  I almost bought it myself but could not quite swing it.  Just a little inside input.
