Wanted / For Sale / penton 125

Thanks to all for your input, I was going off the specs give to me from Metco Racing. The spec where for motor mods and the chain. Metco said that the 420 chain was not strong enough back then, so they used 520 chain. I did race the bike back in the late 90s, but not with the new mods. At this time bike has all the new mods, but still working on jetting. I will let all know how it goes.

Thanks Again

Penton Racing Talk / Penton 125 milling head
October 28, 2014, 10:33:38 PM
Thanks Dale and 3putt for the info. I have like 10 heads, but what I'm trying to do is get my compression up to 15-1. I did the calculations on it and I need 4.5 cc head, because I raised the exhaust port. I do make my own copper head gaskets, but that is not enough. So I'm on the hunt for some one that has a jig to hold the head made already.
Here is my Email you can send me photos or info. [email protected]

Thanks for your help

Yes, it can be significant increase over stock ones. Also on the new ones each one will be 25% to 30% lighter over stock, the  layshaft gear will have needle bearings instead of bronze bushing. I run the needle bearings on my stock Layshaft, so much smoother and will rev quicker. I race the CR125 all the time and have no problem beating them. Those photos are just like the ones I'm starting with but much heavier and no needle bearings.  Thanks for the info

Penton Racing Talk / Straight Cut gears

Hi Penton Group! This is just my second post for you all. Put I have been working hard on this project for about 4 mouths now. So I have just finished the straight cut gears sets(Drive pinion and Lay shaft wheel). These gears are the CNC and top of the line. It will increase hp and will rev much quicker than anything in the past or made today. The pinion gear weight just 3 oz. compared to stock of 6 oz and the lay shaft wheel is just 13 oz compared to the 1lbs 1oz. and will use all of the stock nut and bolts. Also the lay shaft will have needles bearing not those bronzes bushings. I am making 25 sets of these at $350.00 a set, i will not make much at all but would like to make your penton keep up with those CR or anything out there. I have photos but can't figure out how to post them here. If you can help me on this it would be great or give me your email and I will send the photo to you. I am taking orders now but only making twenty five sets of them right now. Email me at [email protected] or call me 951-741-3878 Thanks so Steven Ottinger
