I have a 1974 penton mint 400 that I need to sell.fully redone around 4 years ago motor work was done by Chicago jerry!last summer my garage caught on fire and I luckily got it out with little damage.needs two fenders and seat cover.front tire probably needs replaced.if interested call me at 2403215441!going to give someone a heck of a deal on it, also will throw in a basket case 1978 rm.have all the parts to fix.dont ask me a bunch of questions on here just call if interested.no gimmicks I am a business owner that is real reputable.needs to go to a good home!

well just seein if there was anything worthwhile out there.i know what I would have to pay for new ones still lookin!

oh by the way been restoring a mint 400 like I had back in the day been a little bit of a struggle getting it runnin.my nephews make fun of me when I go to work on it.they say oh noe hes going to work on ole jack again my bike is named after you.rode with you couple years ago at the McKee sky ranch dual sport probably was good meeting you but my bike has been named after you but I know you didn't like the 400s.no offense!

yea brian ordered the cdi today forget the number but the coil and cdi are separate for 74 penton 400 analog system hope they have given me the right system for my bike.

Yea there are 2 separate parts are they not chi and coil

well back at it again for a bit.fulled with the timing a little.can get it to fire at one point.but wont take off.had the carb rebuilt just wondering if it might be getting too much gas.tickle it until gas runs out I remember all that from years ago.but wont take off.take plug out its wet.clean it and check spark and when you get a good crank on it pretty blue sparks.tried pulling finally got it to fire a little well it had rained wheel locked up pulled me into slide now got a little road rash and thank god the bike didn't get hurt!lol!just glad I can laugh about it.bout got me wore out!makes me fell like a dummy no there is not to many thing it could be.

yea haven't taken time to try it for a few days will get back to it.yea usually tickle carb till gas runs out.dont have no flywheel weights.chicago jerry told me about the head mod should have done that before putting back together.we will see!

really appreciate the help run one of these for 3 years in the 70s.forgot how hard they were to start.havent tried drifting it yet hoping it would start by cranking first fresh motor!gotta stand on a stool to crank it have had a couple knee replacements think he made me shorter!lol.
