This is for Jkerr1. I can't reply to you Jeff so try here. I have a rough but complete '72 Six days. Send me your email address.

Hi Dan, thanks for the idea. I am going to do just what you suggested.
I found one one ebay looks like it has a good head section with all of the mounting pieces which I need. My pipe is in pretty good shape on the back where this one is dented and cracked.
Now I need to find a good guy who can do this type of work in SoCal.
Thanks![8D]

Thanks Ron,

I will do that.

FYI, the California Off Highway registration; "green Sticker" we call it here, that was attached to the left number plate, expired in June 1976.

She has been out of action for quite a while it seems..

Old and crusty but with a lot of potential!

The kick start petal is stuck pretty solid. I can get it to budge with WD-40 and pulling it open with a pipe but not a good situation.

Anyone know how this comes apart? Looks like there is a pin that could be driven out. Is there a spring inside?

I am ready to take it off and soak the whole thing in mystery oil for a few days.

Thanks[8D]

Thanks Larry for the FYI about the manuel and your parts stash. That is good to know. I will definitely need a few things once I start to get into it.
Much appreciated!

Hi all,
I am in need of a decent exhaust pipe for my `72 Six Days. The original unit is badly rusted at the motor. Any out there?
Thanks and happy Memorial day weekend.

Hi all,

My name is Tracy located in Southern California. I was lucky enough to come across a rough yet nearly complete '72 Six Days with a Sachs engine. I have so many questions..They are quite different than the Japanese bikes of this era which I am use to. The S/N on the frame is 20756372. I am very curious about the 2 capped tubes sticking out of the frame below the front of the gas tank? I have read about breather tubes??[?]
looking forward to meeting the members on this forum and learning more about these great machines.
