So sad to hear this. Such a great guy and Penton fan, always quick to chime in with excellent mechanical and technical help and tips for us newbies wrenching on the KTM motors. Larry bailed me out several times when I had cases split and needed big help. And his commitment to race the Baja 500 to fulfill a lifetime dream...he will be missed. RIP Larry

Off of a 73-77 250 or 400 I expect. No frame clamps but pretty easy to make. An extra that needs a new home, $30?

  Could swap for some 80-84 Husky spares for a project I'm working on—-need a silencer!

Big kudos and thanks to Larry P for his advice on KTM transmission fixes over the years!  My first Penton re-birth project 15+ years ago was a '73 HS that I put a year into, only to find it missed shifts horribly, popped out of gear under power at times, other gremlins.

I posted here in despair and frustration...Larry steered me to a swap of trans gears from a '77 with the undercut dogs, and a right-dimension shifting "claw" (adjusted by a squeeze in a vice) with the tips filed nice square and sharp. Unbelievable improvement!!  Became the best shifting vintage bike I ever owned!

I'm eternally grateful for the great guidance from Larry and others here over the years. All the best health and happiness in 2019!

Carl, I've got a couple of extra HiPoint trailer decals you're welcome to if you can use them. Cleaning house, these have been hanging around too long. One for the side at 3' long x 6" tall letters, a 2nd smaller 20" long by 3" tall.

A super generous mx friend of mine made up a set with these extras for my trailer several years ago, happy to pass them along, just cover the cost to mail. Text to 503-888-2851 or e-mail [email protected] and I'll send some pics.
