The pipe on your bike is a Proto Pipe out of Cambell Calif. They made lots of very fast Husky pipes in the day, my question is ! are those DC plastic fenders?
Thanks Dennis

Penton Talk / upper shock mount/ mint 400
November 05, 2004, 05:20:04 PM
Just so everyone knows the lay down position on the multible shock frames is ahrma vintage legal with travel limiters, 1 1/4 " spacers on a 13 5/8 " works performance shocks equals 4"  travel . The lay down position causes the bike to kick less on bad braking bumps compared to the standard position. Just my 2 cents. Thanks Dennis 90m KTM mc250

Hi Herm , sent you a email with the specs but let me post them here also , the o.d is 1 3/4" on the 400 manifold and it is also the straight  intake not bent to the right like the mc5. The 250 intake measures 1 5/8" o.d.  Thanks Dennis.

Dennis, I don't have an answer to your question, but where did you get the Carl Cranke pipe?  I'm building a 250 and am curious.

Can any one tell me if the porting specs are changed from a 1975 250 barrel to the 1976 MC-5 250 barrel or are all the 250's the same. Thanks much Dennis.

Can any one give me some base line jetting specs for a 74 KTM 250 mc , I'm running a carl cranke pipe and the bike revs to the moon , but I'm up to a 190 main from the 165 stock main jet , and I'm afraid I might be chasing an air leak with the jets, the bike runs perfectly just lean . It has the 36Bing and a B8 NGK plug. Thanks much Dennis
