Protective gear is a good idea.  Hockey gear is the inexspensive route(hockey is big in my area and we even have a shop that just buys and sells used gear), but there is good off road specific stuff for just a little more.  I wear an O'Neal/Azonic Flak Jacket under my jersey. It is mesh and has great back protector and built in kidney belt. All the protection is in the right place and it is relatively cool compared to hockey gear. I can't get my old Barbour jacket over it though.

Thanks for the input.  I wanted to ask him when I was up at the ISDTRR, but didn't get the chance.  Hopefully someone will come foward with the whole story.  Husky heads often wonder how it would have played out if Husky had built the 125 that John Penton wanted. It's also ironic that KTM no longer imports a 125 EXC and the WR 125 is a very popular Husky in the northeast.

A friend is looking for advice on '78 390wr pipe.  Is this pipe double walled in the headpipe? Has anyone had this pipe apart in the headpipe?  Silencer and spark arrester not a question.
